Students can use the tray to pratice counting by filling the squares with counters, or they can use it to practice addition and subtraction by adding and removing counters from the squares. The tray can also be used to teach place value, as each square in the top row represents a value of five, while each square in the bottom row represents a value of one. Crafted out of sustainably sourced beech wood, the tray is both practical and portable. It can be used in small groups, whole-class instruction, or individual practice.
